What to Expect

Hot yoga classes are beginner-friendly and follow the same sequence of postures in every session. Each 90-minute class allows you to gradually build strength and flexibility while improving your technique. The heated environment enhances your practice by lubricating joints, tendons, and muscles, making it easier to stretch deeply.

What to Expect

The heated room mimics your body’s natural warmth and moisture, helping your muscles relax and warm up faster. This reduces the risk of injury, improves flexibility, and allows you to stretch more effectively.

Why is the Room Heated?

The 26 postures in the Original Hot Yoga sequence are accessible for beginners and do not involve challenging inversions, like headstands. However, if you have any injuries or health conditions, consult your instructor before class. They’ll help you navigate modifications or precautions as needed.

Safety First

Each class begins and ends with a breathing exercise and includes two sets of the 26 postures in between. This consistency helps students quickly adapt to the flow of the practice and provides a sense of routine, making the sequence easier to learn over time.

Class Structure

  • Hydration: Stay hydrated by drinking water before, during, and after class to enhance your performance and recovery.

  • Electrolytes: Replenish your body’s lost nutrients due to sweating with your preferred electrolyte products.

  • Listen to Your Body: Take breaks if you feel lightheaded or overextended. Feel free to rest in Savasana at any point during class.

Important Considerations

Adapting to the heated environment can be a challenge at first, but don’t worry—it typically takes about 10 classes to feel comfortable. The rewards of increased flexibility and rejuvenation are worth the effort!

Adjusting to the Heat

Arrive 10–15 minutes early to check in, set up your space, and prepare for class. Essentials include:
